I currently have started wearing my hearing aids which I have had for about three years. I am 35 years old. At first I tried to wear them as instructed but kept terrible headaches, which I was told would eventually subside but never did after eight months; so out came the hearing aids.
I have started wearing them again for my family who are constantly having to repeat everything to me. It has been a week and so far headache is tolerable, but I am having a hard time making out words if I am not facing someone to read their lips. Even turning up volume does not help. Reading this has answered some of my questions and I hope I will get better with practice but for the record, it is hard!
