April 29, 2011 ~ My Hearing, My Life
Hearing sounds and spoken words then using ideas through language to communicate ranks as the second most important sense of five that make us human, in all our glory and shortcomings. Without meaningful communication our world becomes an empty, perhaps frightening, and surely ungratifying place; think about it.
43 years ago exposure to excruciatingly loud noise in a post high school summer factory job temporarily deafened me. The very next day it came back, I thought, but my hearing was severly damaged. Aging and moderate ensuing noise exposure worsened it; it was situational because nobody else in my entire family has had any problem. I struggled through college and my life for 30 years missing a lot until professionals, like Pickart Hearing Service, explained the moderate to severe loss disability. Then they changed my world back into one that, although it’s not perfect because total restoration is not possible, I truly enjoy every day of my life.
Pickart Hearing Service, LLC is unique among several places i previously used. Their products, programs, and staff have given me a rich life in sound back. As a sophisticated and discerning consumer I am 100% satisfied with Pickart Hearing because:
* They answer all my concerns and questions the best.
* As a flood of new products better for me came out, they “traded me in” to get the best products on the planet twice.
* Pickart Hearing Services testing, diagnostics, and fitting are the best.
* They have several convenient locations, although I often visit the Fond du Lac flagship office, a 35 mile drive, because Ann and Chris Pickart, Diana and Lisa there have become genuine friends.

April 14, 2011 ~ I chose Pickart because I needed a place to buy hearing aides and they would git me properly. The caring and kindness of Ann and Lisa has been great. Chris was very helpful when i purchased my new ones so that I could learn all the bluetooth abilities. I really love my ReSound Alera’s. Diana is great with appointment also.

April 13, 2011 ~ My daughter-in-law asked me to go to Pickart Hearing Service because she heard so many good things about you and that your prices were reasonable. I’ve had hearing tests taken before coming to Pickart but there were nothing like I had at Pickart with Lisa in the Appleton office. I also love the remote. I left Pickart’s office with the hearing aids in my ears. I paid for them in full that same day and have never been sorry. The service I get is nothing but the best and the hearing aids are doing a great job for me. I have told many people that Pickart is the place to get their hearing aids. I am real happy with Lisa also.

April 2, 2011 ~ First of all, I chose Pickart Hearing Service, because I need a high quality and up-to-date hearing aid. In my line of work, communication is very important. I am an over-the-road truck driver. The hearing aid is well hidden, not in the way, and can take the roughness that a driver goes through. “I met Ann 15 years ago when she worked for a different company. I had seen someone else at the same company a few months before seeing Ann, and this person tried to sell me all the bells and whistles that I truly did not need, andbeing a young adult buying my first set of hearing aids on my own, I found out just exactly how expensive my hearing aids cost my parents. At the time I decided to hold off a bit to come up with the funds. I saw Ann with my 2nd appointment, and well, she gave me what I needed for my type of hearing loss without all the bells and whistles that wouldn’t have even helped me at all!! And a much more reasonably priced hearing aids at that! Well, 15 years later, (much too long to wait) it was time to get new hearing aids. I knew I wanted to see Ann andwas aware that she started her own business with her husband. I trusted Ann to give me what I needed for my type of hearing loss so when I went in we discovered I had gone from 70% hearing loss to 90-95% loss. As disappointed as I was in finding out about my loss, Ann kept me positive throughout the entire process of fitting me for my new hearing aids. Her employees were equally helpful & kind. The day came for me to try out my hearing aids, well, put it this way, when I left that day, I heard my turn signal in my car!! I never heard my turn signal before, EVER!!! I was hearing things I never picked up before microwave beeps, refrigerator running, well you get the picture. “I thought I was handicap because I had to get hearing aids, but now I feel privileged due to the new “state of the art” hearing aids from Pickarts. I did get my first set one year ago, and then was able to trade them in for newer ones. The staff was so helpful and informed me of the ability to hear the TV through these hearing aids and it sounds like stero. I also have the ability to adjust the sound without changing it on the TV. Another feature with these, I can use my cell phone, without picking it up, to hear the call in my hearing aids. Now if that isn’t enough, I have to tell you two more great features; they have the latest equiptment to test your hearing and they do their own repairs and cleanings. The staff, Ann, Diana, Lisa, Chris, and Terry are the best! They are a pleasure to deal with. They are always willing to help you out. These hearing aids are little, colored and blend right in. I have never heard that ringing, buzzing, or echoing with these. The most impotant factor is that what you lose in hearing is forever gone. Enjoy the whole conversation.
